Very Good
Reception desk staff were polite and helpful. Cleaning staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.
Restaurant service for non-Japanese patrons was poor. Waited 50 minutes for noodle dish while other customers were served, ate and departed. Waitress spent more time at bar with patrons than serving food and clearing tables.

Retro Japanese Travelling Inn
The staff were warm and friendly but what really stood out was the onsen, which for 150 yen is a real bargain. There are snacks available for purchase at reception. While the hotel and furnishings are in an old traditional style, I didn't mind the retro look as the bed was large and there was a chair for reading.
They have the standard Japanese bathroom, nothing special, but I preferred the onsen for bathing. While the doors close slowly, other guests have the bad habit of slamming the door shut at night - there should be some dampening mechanism to prevent this.

Wonderful
2 weeks in Japan, and it is so lovely to meet a clerk with a great smile who does her best to make you comfortable ! I enjoyed particularly the fact that I dropped my suitcase before my check-in but when I was back, they had been brought into my room ! There is a small onsen on the first floor !
